How to help

So much has been offered by so many people to the Padmasambhava Pureland and to its consecration ceremonies. The generosity has been amazing, and we hope that what we have created together will fulfill all our highest aspirations and inspire generations after us.

If you would like to contribute at this point, there are very specific projects unfinished. If one project receives adequate funding before your offering arrives, we would like to redirect it to another project. You may state a second choice.

Dedicate the merit of these special offerings, both to those close to you and to the well-being and liberation of all living beings!

Glass ornaments on H.E. Chagdud Rinpoche's stupa

A stupa containing the relics of Chagdud Rinpoche's cremation, and other sacred substances, mantra rolls, and chakras (korlos) will be on first floor of the Palace. Its copper details, which were made in Nepal, will be studded with specially fabricated crystal-glass ornaments hand-blown by Cristais de Gramado, a Brazilian company that makes lead-crystal glass with methods developed by the famous Murano glassmakers of Italy. You can help by sponsoring one or more of the 150 crystal-glass ornaments.

All of the ornaments are now sponsored for Chagdud Tulku's stupa. May the generosity of these offerings bring beauty and delight to all living beings!

Path to the Palace

Symbolically, this is a wonderful offering—interdependence with the path that leads beings to Padmasambhava's Pureland! With the help of our hard-working friend Helton and his wife Rosana of the Belo Horizonte sangha, we have an excellent design and material for the path from the lha kang area to the Pureland. You can help by sponsoring one or more of the path's 250 square meters of bricks.

All of the square meters of the path are now sponsored. May those who contributed and all who are connected with them effortlessly travel the path to Guru Rinpoche's pureland—both at Khadro Ling and in their meditation.

Landscaping

With the help of our talented landscaper, Cláudio Emerson da Silva from Caxias, RS, we have a good plan and disciplined installation of palms and other landscaping plants. The Australian sangha has offered to this project and Suzana Senna of the Salvador sangha made a generous offering in the name of her recently deceased husband, Luiz Carlos Salomão Corrêa, who was very interested in ornamental plants.Sangha members and also Baixinha, our grounds maintenance professional, have offered many plants.

But, as Claudio often reminds us, "It is a very big area to landscape!" We would like to find sponsorship for canela trees that will line the path to provide shade for visitors. Symbolically, the trees represent following a line of incense to the Pureland. You can help by sponsoring one of the seven canela trees or making a general offering to the work of landscaping this large area. As well as the canelas trees we will also need 1.000 m2 of grass and 60 cypress to cover the area around the Pure Land.

All seven canela trees have been sponsored. May these fragrant trees and their cooling shade become wishfulfilling for those who offered them.

All square meters of grass are sponsored. May all wayfarers in conditioned existence find their journeys less hard and less rocky because of this natural cushion offered to the earth.

All cypress trees have been offered. The roots of these trees will anchor the foundation that supports Guru Rinpoche's pureland. Similarly, may the good seeds and roots of practice of those who offered flourish into strong trees and excellent fruit!

Vajra Fence

In visualization we often establish a vajra tent for our practice—negative forces and distractions are kept outside the center of the mandala, which is protected by vajras, weapons, and the elements of fire, wind, and water. We are constructing the vajra fence around the mandala of the Pureland. Our artists have sculpted a large model of a vajra that will be reproduced in concrete. You can help by sponsoring one or more of the 236 (at least!) concrete vajras.

Each vajra will cost R$55 (without the installation included).

Each vajra will cost R$210 (with the installation included).

As of the 17th of October, 152 vajras with installation have been sponsored. May those who sponsored them and all beings find the ultimate protection that is vajra body, vajra speech, and vajra mind!
