5th to 10th of December 2008
During these six days of ceremonies, renowned masters and devoted practitioners of the Vajrayana tradition invited Guru Padmasambhava and his retinue to inhabit this sacred place, where artists have created a splendid replica of his pureland, Glorious Copper-Colored Mountain.
Outer, inner and secret offerings were performed with the appropriate rituals, music and dance. The Essence of Siddhi, a treasure of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, was the main practice, and within the context of this sadhana, three days of elaborate consecration ceremonies were followed by two days of extensive tsog offerings.
Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche conducted the ceremonies as Vajra Master, supported by Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, Orgyan Tobgyal Rinpoche, Tulku Sangnang Rinpoche, Jigme Tromge Rinpoche, and others. Teachings and special empowerments were integrated into these ceremonies.
The seed of the Padmasambhava's pureland was planted by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, and nurtured by the intention of many lamas, artists, practitioners, and sponsors. Joyously Chagdud Rinpoche's great aspiration has come to fruition exactly five years after his cremation in Nepal on 8th December 2003. From that wisdom fire a splendid canopy of blessings now unfurls.
