Visas

With the exception of a few nationalities, most foreigners will need a tourist visa to enter Brazil. Please, check with your local Brazilian consulate to know the required documents. Entry into Brazil must take place within 90 days after the visa is issued and normally the visa takes 10 working days to be processed. So, although it is nice to start looking at the list of necessary documents, wait until October to start working on your visa applications!

Meals

Meals will be prepared and delivered by a catering company. Please have breakfast at your hotel/guesthouse before coming to the ceremonies. Lunch will have vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, served according to the choice made on your registration form. There will be evening tsog and for dinner a sandwich, fruit and juice will be served for each participant.

We cannot offer special diets with ingredient restrictions.

Transportation

The buses that will provide the transportation between hotels and the event are too large to drive up the temple road. It will be necessary for participants to walk about 300 meters up the hill to the temple. Please let us know if you have any difficulties walking so that we can plan assistance.

Alert!

Poisonous snakes and especially, nasty spiders! Pay attention when walking through the grass and gardens. Dogs owned by Khadro Ling’s residents are generally friendly, but they are excitable and should not be provoked. Stray dogs sometimes arrive, looking for adoption. Be very cautious with them and do not feed any of the dogs-it can lead to dog fights!

Valuables

Keep your valuables such as cameras, mobile phones, money, and jewelry with you. We are not responsible for losses or theft of valuables.

Services

Internet service will not be available at Khadro Ling during the event, so you should check the availability of internet at your hotel.

We have two public phones, and national calling cards are available in our store.
